Toll fraud costs $40B/year. Not to our customers.
International revenue-sharing fraud (IRSF) can drain a small carrier in one weekend. Our platform blocks it in the first 60 seconds — before the attacker even realizes they got in.
The five fraud patterns our edge watches for.
IRSF / premium-rate destinations
Automatic block on known IRSF destinations (Sierra Leone, Somalia, Cuba, etc. — full list in portal). Override requires sales approval.
CPS anomalies
Your trunk's normal CPS baseline is learned. Sudden 50× spike → quarantine → NOC alert within 30s.
Geo-fence violations
Set 'we never dial country X' rules. Any attempt blocked; alert fires.
Duration outliers
Long-duration calls to unusual destinations trigger manual review. Classic IRSF signature.
Credential-stuffing on registrations
If someone's pounding your trunk with auth attempts, we block the source IP and alert you.
Rate-limit caps
You set per-trunk CPS and concurrent-call ceilings. Exceeded → trunk rate-limits, not dropped.
CLI must be a number hosted with us. No exceptions.
Every outbound call on our network must present a CLI that belongs to a VICICarrier-hosted number — either a DID you purchased from us or a number you ported into our service. Third-party CLIs, spoofed numbers, and DIDs hosted with another carrier are blocked at the edge before the call leaves our network. This is a hard policy, not a feature flag.
There are two reasons we draw this line. First, A-level STIR/SHAKEN attestation requires the signing carrier to have a verifiable ownership relationship with the CLI. If the number isn't provisioned on our platform, we can't sign it — and downstream carriers will reject or down-rank anything we try to attest on someone else's number. Second, allowing third-party CLI is the single most common vector for voice spoofing fraud, regulatory takedowns, and carrier blocks. Our operating record depends on not being that vector.
If you want to use an existing number as your CLI, port it to us first — porting is free, typically completes in 3–10 business days, and once the number lives on our platform you get A-attestation on every outbound call from it. If you need coverage we don't currently provision, tell us; we'll either add it or tell you honestly that we can't. "Just let me send this CLI" is the one answer we can't give.
Built into the trunk. Not an add-on SKU.
